Explore Gallery Cafe

Tucked away on Main Street in Stawell, Gallery Cafe is a quirky little spot that blends the warmth of homemade treats with the charm of antiques, making it a unique pitstop for anyone in town. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that feels like a cozy living room crossed with a small gallery, filled with eclectic furnishings and vintage pieces that give the space character and invite you to linger over your coffee. Speaking of coffee, this is clearly where the cafe shines-the rich aroma and carefully brewed cups make it clear that each order is crafted with attention, perfectly complementing the selection of homemade baked goods. One standout is the apple and date bun, often served still warm, offering a comforting sweetness that pairs beautifully with the smooth coffee. While the menu focuses mainly on beverages rather than full meals, there are occasional treats like scones that add a touch of variety, though availability can be limited. Patrons often note that the cafe isn’t a place for a quick grab-and-go; it’s worth taking the time to soak in the ambiance, browse the antique displays, and enjoy a relaxed moment away from the bustle of everyday life. Be mindful, however, that opening hours can fluctuate depending on the owner’s schedule, so it’s wise to check ahead if you’re planning your visit. Overall, Gallery Cafe stands out as one of Stawell’s gems for those who appreciate a thoughtfully curated environment, quality coffee, and the charm of homemade offerings, creating an experience that’s as much about the setting as it is about what’s in your cup.

Cafe is set in a beautiful antique store, spread through several rooms. Great coffee - Industry Beans used. And the best homemade fruit scones ever! A very stylish and tasteful stop to refresh and stretch your legs - recommended.

Worth the wait. Not super fast today, but the apple and date bun/cake, still warm, was amazing. And great to sit amongst the antiques.

Cute little place with a mix of antiques and quality coffee, one of my favourite places in Stawell. Nice scones although these aren’t always available. Be aware opening hours depend on the owner so google may not have correct information. The cafe mainly does coffee not food, so if you’re looking for something to eat you’ll need to go somewhere else first.

My favourite cafe in Stawell. Located at the historic end of the Main Street, the Gallery Cafe offers lovely coffee, with great service. Lots of antiques, collectables, and art to keep you interested. If you weren't planning on turning off the highway, change your mind and pop in. If you're travelling west, turn off just after Sisters Rocks, follow Patrick Street down and it's right on the corner of the Main Street. Be sure to have a good look around the area, because the Gallery Cafe is nestled amongst some of the town's most important historical buildings. Plenty of parking, great service, great coffee. And Covid safe.

This was a great experience, sat in front of an open fire, made to feel very welcome. Food was delicious, plenty to choose from, most of it made in house in small quantities so is very fresh. Coffee tastes great and really good artwork displayed on walls. Highly recommended.
